There's a patch in April that allows for cross-region multiplayer.

You have until that patch's release to have surpassed me in skill. I'll be waiting!

Things suddenly got interesting...my copy hasn't arrived yet, but it looks for once I may not be hunting with randoms forever.
Skill refers to not dying and cutting off/breaking key parts so good luck! Do not let me down like so many other random German hunters have in the past!

I just beat Ceadeus last night. The high rank quests are incredibly hard!

How many hours have you clocked already? o.o

Apparently I've already put in 32 hours! That's quite a bit more than I would've thought.

I have only died in free hunt so far because i never use potions or recover stamina when you have infinite lives

Have you heard about "cursed tables"?

Yeah, apparently the time you start the game gives you a certain charm table.
I'm not really complaining with mine though. I was able to gem Autotracker in Lagiacrus armor, and Gathering+1 and Evasion+2 in Barioth armor.

I am almost at Barioth now, just trying to make 100 different lances

If you want p much the best gunlance you can get at this point, fight an agnaktor (I recommend the Lagombi gunlance, it can be forged from the base gunlance) and use its parts to make the agnaktor gunlance. It absolutely devastates everything.

I just use the old trusty regular lance. At Ceadeus now.
On my third harvest tour of the volcano I got 2 rustshards (first time i ever got any) one was a rusted hammer and the other a rusted lance! Lucky ^^

Apparently after beating Ceadeus, you can do high rank quests offline in Moga now. They're incredibly difficult. I just got done clearing the 7 star quests.

pink rathian is the first painful monster i have fought. cutting the tail put me in so much pain. i want to spam high rank volcano mining.
aparently there is even g rank after high rank but i have no idea what quests there are if any

The last set of high rank quests is completely ridiculous. I haven't gotten there yet (stuck on Brachydios, don't have a good water weapon) but apparently it's just multiple monster quests that are insanely hard.

what armor are you using? I am currently sporting full Barroth armor (high rank version).
I am getting close to that Brachydios.
I haven't done online yet though. Any news on when we can work together to best that beast? Apparently if you play online with the same person a few times you get a special ticket

I'm alternating between low rank Barioth, Lagiacrus, and Rathalos (upgraded to have high rank-ish defense) and high rank Ingot.

I highly recommend getting the high rank version of armors, they usually have better skills, defence or more slots.

For the game so far i have only used like 6 armor sets. Leather and leather+ for gathering, Loc Lac armor for eggs (missing the high rank version), Qurupeco armor to fight Barroth and then barroth to get Barroth+

I highly recommend Barroth+ armor it comes with Guard+1, attack up(M) and defence (s). You can slot almost any skill you want since it has 3 double slots as long as you have a tailsman with at least +2 or one with +1 and a weapon with one slot. I have 402/403 defence using fully upgraded Hrd armor spheres from high rank volcano. It is only weak to ice but you can easily gem in ice resistance +20 if you are fighting an ice monster. If your weapon can block it is good armor and so easy to get (Lagi and Los high rank require very hard to get Los rubies and lagia sapphire)

What masks for Cha-Cha and Cha-Cha clone do you use?


I got my first Rathalos Ruby today! My Dragon and Fire weapons are both pretty decent now.

The armors I've got with me now are working well, but I'm definitely going to get more armor to fight the upcoming monsters.

For Cha-Cha I'm using the Ancient Mask, and I'm just using the standard mask on Kayamba because I haven't gotten a good mask for him yet.

The standard mask kind of sucks. I use Felyne, Melynx and Bunny mask which dances a lot and never dies so always makes a distraction.

I still need a decent ice weapon and thunder weapon.

I haven't gotten those masks yet. How'd you get those rare trade goods?

A really great ice weapon is the lagombi gunlance. Don't know about thunder besides acrus lance though.
